Ramon Vilanova

Associate Professor

Ramón Vilanova was born in Lleida, Spain, on September 10, 1968. He graduated in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1991) obtaining the title of doctor through the same University (1996). At present he occupies the position of Lecturer at the School of Engineering of the Autonomous University of Barcelona where develops educational task teaching subjects of Signals and Systems, Automatic Control and Technology of Automated Systems. His research interests include methods of tuning of PID regulators, systems with uncertainty, analysis of control systems with several degrees of freedom, application to environmental systems and development of methodologies for design of machine-man interfaces. He is author of several book chapters and has more than 100 publications in international congresses/journals. He is a member of IEEE and IFAC.

Montse Meneses

Associate Professor

Montse Meneses was born in Barcelona, Spain. She received the BSc degree in Chemistry (speciality: industry) and the PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, in 1995 and 2002, respectively. She is Associated Professor at the department of Telecommunications and System Engineering of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Her research interests include environmental analysis, life cycle analysis and their application into control systems.

Asier Ibeas

Associate Professor

Asier Ibeas was born in Bilbao, Spain, on July 7, 1977. He received his MSc degree in Applied Physics and his PhD degree in Automatic Control from the University of the Basque Country, Spain, in 2000 and 2006, respectively.He is currently Associate Professor of Control Systems at Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. His research interests include time-delayed systems, robust adaptive control, applications of artificial intelligence to control systems design and nonconventional applications of control such as to epidemic systems, supply chain management and financial systems, fields where he has published more than 130 contributions in international journals and conferences. He has supervised and is currently advising several doctoral theses and has participated in numerous research projects funded by regional and national agencies.

He received the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in System Engineering and Automation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, in 1997 and 2003, respectively. He is Associate Professor at the department of Telecommunications and System Engineering of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research interest is in uncertain systems, time-delay systems, PID control and application to environmental systems.

CarlesPedret was born in Tarragona, Spain, on January 29, 1972. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in System Engineering and Automation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, in 1997 and 2003, respectively. Ignacio Santín

Postdoc

Ignacio Santín was born in Barcelona, Spain, on August 19, 1980. He obtained the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering in 2006. He worked in the areas of water control of the Barcelona sewer system, and management and improvement of processes, until 2011. At present he is carrying out the M.Sc. degree in Environmental Studies (specialized in Environmental Technology) and the Ph. D. degree in waste water treatment control.
